I record experiences with photographs and translate them into paint, finding
satisfaction in the physical process of making a painting. I select
and mix colors on my palette until they are the consistency of heavy
cream or shake them up in little jars, stroking, swiping and splashing
the paint on the canvas in layers to create luscious images that emerge
and transform, shifting from foreground to background until the painting
is resolved.
